Disaster Relief Ministry

Impact Baptist Church's Disaster Relief Ministry is a part of the larger Southern Baptist of Texas Disaster Relief Ministry.  It is comprised of trained volunteers who are committed to share the hope of Jesus with those whose lives have been impacted by disasters.

The SBTC Disaster Relief Ministry provides ministry through Feeding, Clean-up and Recovery, Chaplaincy, and Communications, Operations, Shower/Laundry and Childcare. When disaster occur, volunteer teams may be asked to mobilize in Texas, North America, or internationally, depending on the nature and scope of the disaster.

At Impact Baptist Church we are building a chainsaw team (clean-up and recovery).  Pastor Sean is certified in Basic and Advanced Chainsaw operations, and tree climbing.  Our team has been involved in significant homeowner assistance over the last year's winter storms.  We have also served homeowners in removing trees and limbs.

Sean has also deployed as far away as Haiti in disaster relief efforts.

NETWORK of Community Ministries

Impact Baptist Church is a proud sponsor of NETWORK of Community Ministries.

The Network of Community Ministries, Inc. responds to human need by giving assistance with the goal of helping individuals achieve long-term independence.  Its mission is “caring, coaching and empowering neighbors in need as they seek an improved quality of life.”

The Network of Community Ministries (NETWORK), founded in 1985, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization that was formed during a time when the United States , just like right now, found itself in an economic downturn.
NETWORK is based in Richardson , Texas and has a service area encompassing fourteen zip codes in Dallas County , with over 70% of those served coming from Lake Highlands of the Dallas area in addition to Garland .   NETWORK is a non-denominational community-based organization with currently three divisions: Emergency Services, providing health and temporary services to children, low-income families, and senior citizens; the Adolescent and Children's Clinic, meeting the acute care needs of uninsured school children; and The Seniors' Net, dedicated to helping older people live as independently as possible for as long as possible in the familiar environment of their own home.

Last year alone, NETWORK assisted 38,170 adult individuals, children and seniors.  Since its founding 24 years ago, NETWORK has impacted the lives of over 125,000 individuals.
